The watercolour painting was inspired by a day trip that I had to Baddesley Clinton in Warwickshire. I visited the national trust property equipped with my trusty EOS Canon camera. I was fortunate enough to take some great shots of the beautiful interiors and equally impressive grounds.
In this painting, I have attempted to capture in washes the feel of the photo that I took which featured lovely blurred colours surrounding the central flower; a technique in photography known as bokeh. I have also used a limited colour palette with a focus on contrasting tones.
