Christmas Card Printmaking Workshop – Event Details

Overview:

Join us for a fun and creative Christmas card workshop. During this workshop, you will be fully tutored in how to design and print your own bespoke quality Christmas cards. What a wonderful way to celebrate the beginning of the festive season!

You will be provided with a full range of festive wooden stamps and stencils and you will have the opportunity to experiment with lots of different design ideas. When you have developed your chosen Christmas card designs, you will then be able to print 10 x cards and envelopes.

This workshop is suitable for all ability levels as great care will be taken to tailor the experience to your specific needs, regardless of creative ability. Please note that the Christmas craft workshop attendees are limited to 8 people to ensure that everyone can receive the help and support that they require.

The workshop will be led by Sharon Brookes who is a practising artist and fully qualified art teacher with nearly 30 years’ experience in teaching.

During the Christmas printmaking workshops, we will explore:

• How to use wooden stamps to create repeating patterns.
• How to use stencils to create layered designs.
• How to create interesting background ideas for your prints.
• How to use colour combinations successfully within your designs.
• How to create interesting effects using different motif sizes.
• How to successfully incorporate text within your designs.

What’s included:

• Expert guidance by a fully qualified art teacher.
• All required art and craft materials to use during the workshop including 10x blank cards and envelopes.
• Tea and coffee.
• Festive biscuits/cakes.

• Just yourself! We include all materials and refreshments for your convenience.

Access:

For your convenience, we offer free designated car parking for up to 8 vehicles located adjacent to our private road. The studio is then accessed by a short 2-minute walk along an uphill driveway. Please note that there are steps up to the studio from the driveway. However, it is possible to continue along the driveway and circumnavigate them, if required.

In addition, we also have additional parking for two cars located closer to the studio which avoids the uphill walk and steps.

Please note that our studio bathroom facilities are located on the first floor accessed by a set of stairs. We can provide alternative ground floor facilities, if required.
